Don't know what happened to package
Closing package isn't tracking. Title asked me to go back and have new docs signed with that original date. They will pay a returning fee. I hate when that happens as it probably makes them think that I didn't send it.I have the shipping label.I just don't know what happened.

You must use the actual date of the signing. Do not be a fool and use the original date.

They want me to date everything with the original date. And, instead of sending me a new confirmation they just sent me a new one with the two fees on it. Yes, I was wondering about that dating.

Did you put package in a drop box? If so the driver may not have picked up at that box, I've had that happen before. Call the company and check. It took 4 days for one of my packages to show up, the driver marked down they were picking up and when the supervisor went out he found my package, driver hadn't picked up there in 3 days. Now I take the packages directly to FED EX or UPS and get receipt.
Also, you must use the date the docs are signed, do not backdate.

Packages that I have dropped in there since have gone out. I am going now and looking in box.

Had the same thing happen last week with a LSO dropbox.
No pickup in 3 days. Supervisor had someone go out to box in the middle of the day to check it. They gave a credit to the company and I had to get the SS and company in touch with LSO to prove I hadn't just held the package. Worked out, but a hassle. For UPS or FedEx I try to drop off where I can hand package to someone.
LSO = Lone Star Overnight - covers about 4-5 states or so. Only drop boxes available to drop packages in 3 counties around here.

I will be talking to this title company tomorrow. Because borrowers could use what ever date they want but, I have to notarize these signatures for when I am in front of them again. I hope they don't start blaming me for this missing package. This company gives me volume. But, I am not going to do anything illegal. I will go tomorrow and check in the box like someone suggested.Maybe the package is stuck.

I just went and checked box nothing is stuck. Will call UPS tomorrow. Also, title company wants me to call borrowers and set a date with them. Sounds like noone has told them yet that package is lost.

I've had a package pu from a box and no one knew what happened from there. I still put pkgs in box with exception if there is a check collected, then they go directly to the store for a receipt. If you've worked for this title company before I doubt they think you didn't put pkg in box. Thank goodness this is rare.

Wow. I wouldn't have tampered with that box. If you called the company to check if there was a pickup at that box, you also could have asked them to have the driver check the box to see if anything was stuck.

Is there any possibility that you may have dropped it
in the wrong box? Such as FedEx package in UPS box, or UPS in FedEx box? That can take several days to unwind, usually by going directly to the shipping hub and insisting that they look for it. It's usually on someone's desk.
This hasn't happened to me, but I've heard it from others.

Once, a year and a half ago, the UPS flap came open and the docs got separated from the envelope with the label. UPS delivered docs to Lender instead of Title but it did get resolved. Ever since then, I use packing tape to super seal the packages for both FedEx and UPS.
