First American (FASS)
Was called regularly by them for several months but it seems in the last month they have disappeared. Anyone have a heads up on what is going on with them. They were the fastest payers out there and I really miss that!

Re: First American (FASS) Still steadily receiving work
When I contacted two local area contacts I was told, "Oh, the escrow officers are handling the signings themselves, out of hours, they love the extra money"!
So there it is!

I sure won't get any calls now!
And I'm on their"preferred" list.

Edward, I wonder how much they pay to attorneys, I never bother to contact them since they don't pay much. And they have an arrogant attitude per some posts here. Of course this is just my opinion.

FASS
James, that makes since for heavy areas but I am in a remote area and no First American near me. The only one I know of is 5 hours away. But I do see why you're not going to be getting any calls!!!

I am in their system at $225, and even that is too high for
white glove.

I was getting a lot from them for Wells Fargo Financial who are closing their doors at the beginning of Sept. There are a few in the pipeling yet. My last one was scgeduled through Notary Direct and RELS is the TC. So FASS is not doing those wells fargo's anymore.

They told me I had to have a BGC
and it had to be from the other organization. I told them I have Notary Rotary BGC but that would not suffice. I worked for them quite a bit and then nothing. I asked why and got the BGC answer. And by the way, if I were to pay to have a second bgc, they would put me in the system for a whopping $75 per signing...

This is a hitch in the giddyup, if we graph it, it goes up
and down.
We're in perilous times, and unless we stimulate demand, the graph line just keeps dropping.
Since the Two Percenters in the private sector aren't *spending* the Trillion$ it has on hand, and we can't get tax dollars to fund jobs by supporting States' responsibilities (safety services, teachers, healthcare, day-care, local infrastructures, etc.,) then we've done a U Turn, and are headed straight back down the cliff on our graph.
This is not political, this is basic Economics. If people don't have any money to spend, and have nowhere to live, there is misery, and eventually unrest. When you've worked all your life and those Top Two Percent have all the cash? Not a good thing. Heck, they don't even want to go back to budget surplus tax rates...sigh.
Anyway, Rhonda, take heart. We *are* gaining jobs, and little by little Demand is increasing, which means more Jobs, and the graph starts looking lots better. Especially compared to prior Jan, 2009. Every State in our Union needs stimulous to stop the cuts for public good, which, will create Demand and get us producing again.
The trick to survival in our business, is to create other streams of income, and, IMHO, work on reducing personal debt.

Susie you mean the 2% that generate
most of the economy in the country? I happen to see that just a touch differently and that is if they are scared to spend their money, I'll follow their lead and start to hoard cash as well.
They after all seem to have done pretty well in their lives.
Just my non-political take on how I see things.
