How to get deadbeat Signing Companies to pay

Remember the bank that does the loan.

I will never work for John Kulik and Signing Wiz, LLC again. I have never had to chase payment. I read the forums on how some got him to pay via PayPal so I tried that. Sent 4 reminders with no results. He stopped answering his phone and would not answer emails after one telling me the check was in the mail and another saying he would pay via PayPal.

I decided to take a long shot. I still had email docs so I looked in them to get bank info that did loan. I called the bank and talked to the branch manager yesterday. I explained to him my problem and he requested I forward all my emails to him. Today I got a payment on the invoice I sent via PayPal without one word of explanation from John Kulik. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall to here the conversation between him and the bank branch manager. It was worth the $2.48 fee to get paid.

The work was done June 15. Today is August 25 and I just got paid $75. I suggest no one work for this man. Not worth the effort to chase down payment.

Good for you! So many notaries just stop trying after the deadbeat company ignores them for the upteenth time. I have collected on every single invoice. Some of my tactics that I have had to resort to after invoices, inquiries and demand letters have gone ignored:

- Calling the TC and asking for assistance. Then emailing the TC, thanking them for taking time to speak with my about the matter. I cc the signing service on that email.

- Contacting the loan officer.

- Contacting the lender.

- Contacting the secretary of state in the state where the SS is located to complain about failure to fulfill its end of the contract. The NC SOS took a big interest in a company I complained about that purported to be a title company. They had not filed their annual report for three years.

- Contacting the state bar in the state where the attorney-owner of the company is located.

- Contacting the state board of insurance for my own state, complaining about the TC securing closing services for a real estate transaction, but then failing to fulfill its end of the contract by not paying for services involved in the transaction.

I have not tried this tactic, but I would if it became necessary: Msg #270894

If you keep pushing buttons, eventually you will push the right one.
