NREIS are they serious?
I just got a request to do a job for them. In the olden days I would have jumped at the chance. Not any more. They still owe me for a job I did 90 days ago. I have been pretty lucky so far as them paying me although I read the handwriting on the wall so to say through all of your posts. I figured why would they cut their own throats and not pay a notary in Montana as there aren't a lot of us up here. Apparently I was wrong. Anyways, today I got a phone call from them and I said sorry no can do you still owe me from 90 days ago. Oh but what you don't know is that this company we have the job for is a good payer and we can pay you promptly. I told them thanks but until you can pay me for past work no can do. As a matter of fact if you would like to look into my not being paid that would help me out. He actually sounded insulted. I wanted to tell him yes you (NREIS) might get paid promptly but than you forget to send on the payment to the one that did you the job. I hope they get it together soon.

Are you saying you never got behind in your bills & worked like mad to get caught up? Did you stop working in the meantime?

Please do explain why we should work for a company and provide them up to 6 months interest free loans. They get paid and then don't pay us for up to 6 months, that's an interest free loan to them, they won't even give us late fees for not paying when promised.

I have definetly gotten behind on my bills. Who hasn't in this economy? However it was mostly caused by companies not paying me promptly for the work that I did for them.

I miss the good old days when the same day an escrow recorded (closed) all monies were immediately disbursed to the parties who performed services...no waiting for a signing service to diddle around for 45 days.....my blood pressure is going up....not sure its worth it anymore for all the frustration chasing down these scoundrels for payment.

Is this a joke? Making excuses for a companies completely irresponsible use of borrower funds, and keeping notary subcontractor pay for backing capitol for yourself? The CEO owns a castle in Scotland and a golf course if Fl., and I should feel sorry for him because he wont his bills for up to 180 days? They owed me so much money, MY bills were late. Sell your castle fellow, and pay your invoices in a timely manner. If this were a small signing service, we notaries would have written them off at once. We GIVE them the power to do this by condoning it. Its disgusting, its like sucking up to your abuser.
