Here we go again. NLC is not the hiring company. You can

expect a call from them.

"It seems you might be confused about our company...

You posted that NLC is looking for a notary for $70. This email is created by our software Closing Board. "

<<IMO, this company needs to be absolutely clear that NLC is NOT not the hiring party. It is not clear in those emails.>>

"Our company has tried to contact you on serveral times to demo our software and explain to you how our company operates."

<<Yes, and I've responded via email which is MY preference choice of communication as well as this forum.>>

"We are asking that you please stop making erroneous posts about our company. It is one thing to say, "i believe" or "I think", but in some of your post your stated false facts about NLC."

<<The only comments or posts made regarding your company have come directly (cut and pasted) from your company's website.>>

"Please remember that you are liable for remarks that you post in chat rooms."

<<Again, nothing I have written about your company is libelous if its factual, especially if it comes directly from your company's website. Now I'm starting to think, you have no idea what is written on your website?>>

"Furthermore, our company will not engage in defending our reputation on any forum or posting board, as we can see that it can be very one sided at times. We will however contact each individual notary to answer any questions."

<<Well, to each their own I guess. But it sure would've been nice to have you Brian, come on here to clarify, NOT DEFEND, any confusing issues that have resulted from information located within your website. Such as, are you a legal corporation in Ohio? Is this company a SS or not?

And, to clarify, in MY opinion only, this forum truly is so not one sided, and some folks on here might just take that statement, very much offensive. Agents part of this forum, state their own opinions as they wish and of their own free will. But its good to know how you really feel about this forum, and possible others. That will do wonders for your company's rep!>>

"If you have ANY questions please contact our office at (omitted)."

<<I did/have via email, my preference choice of communication. It's something about the written word that I love, mainly because it can't be recorded>>

"You received an email from our "software" that a company uses to find notaries in your area....
Again this is the second attempt to ask you to stop posting false statements about our company"

<<AGAIN, there have not been any false statements made by myself, about your company on this or other forums. Your attempt to frighten and/or threaten is fruitless.>>

(((HARRY (of NotRot), please list this company on SC so that agents who are registered and use this company for its 'software' can make the appropriate ratings and comments.)))

Yes, am very confused about this company...

Website is confusing...posts quoting e-mails from this co. 'say' they are a software co., yet they want a W9--which would tend to indicate that they pay notaries and therefore would be the hiring entity. Instead of calling or e-mailing people who have posted something that you claim they are confused about (as I am), why don't you (whoever you are) get on this forum and explain your company because, as you undoubtedly have seen--WE ARE CONFUSED.

Their website is convoluted for a reason. To create confusion.

Alert! It seems they are actively monitoring this site ..

because no more than five minutes after I made my "ditto" post, I received a phone call asking if I had questions about "their" company.

Re: James

I was in my car at the time and I don't have a blue-tooth device so I couldn't talk. I answered because the call (number) was "blocked" and it could have been in emergency. I don't have any questions though, I've never worked for them.

yup, Brian sure does blow up ones phone, so to speak....

I very much prefer to read than to hear any explanations, so Brian, you really should come out from hiding and clear up any confusion I or others may have. Otherwise, stop calling folks about every single post that is written on this forum.

Calling individual notaries for every single time they post something on this forum about your company, could be construed as harassment and may result in potential charges against you and your company. Just a thought for you to ponder.

But I guess your company is too good for us "one sided" members, right? Smile

ALERT! IMO we are inadvertantly doing a lot of advertising

for this company. They clearly are monitoring the board, and using every opportunity to contact us. It's been discussed before. The confusion is that the concept is misleading. They need to clear it up on their end that they are not the hiring party, not on this board.

BTW, so far my experience with the "closing board" is

low-ball offers (just saw one for $70, like Cari).

Okay, I MAY have been wrong about the name of the caller...

from this company. But I swear he said his name was....what was it....oh yeah Brian (reminds of the dog name from Family Guy!)

However, the registered owner of your website comes up as Martin Cenos of the same town and state?

Things that make you go hmm....

Forgot to mention that if you Google their 877 number listed on its website, the following link comes up:

Greater Cincinnati Independent Restaurants.....???

Okay, so, in addition to NOT being a SS, are you also NOT:

"The Greater Cincinnati Independents represent a community of locally owned restaurants of all kinds..." as listed on that website, is that correct??

In all seriousness, those that are registered agents with this company should consider just how safe your data is. IMHO, if this company is not forth coming about how it is owned and/or operated, how safe do you think your or the BO's data is?

Just a thought people and soooo done now with this company.

Whoa, Cari. IMO you're adding to the confusion by throwing

all this in the mix. The "closing board" referred to is the one on that site, not another website by that name. Yeeesssh. Try to remember what happened the last time you all played CSI.

the closingboard dot com is owned by same aforementioned

company / person, who happens also to be in the restaurant biz. And for the record, I'm NOT playing here, as all of this is serious.
