PNC Mortgage

I know that sometimes borrower will ask about a couple of appraisal. But, lately it seems that there have been too many appraisals in their packages. Is this becoming the norm for them? I don't get warned about package being bigger of course.

Re: appraisals in the package? are you talking about purchases?

I have a couple of appraisals in pkg. Kind of irks me that I have to print it. I only print 1 though and that is for the borrower. I never print it and send it back with pkg.

No, these are not purchases they are refis. I only print one copy and leave with borrower I figure they already have one on file.
It just bothers me that they include it without telling me.

I agree, it's cheap that they put it in the package for US to print. Very toner-intensive, too. I always print appraisals in economode, and only one copy. If you are finding it to be a consistent thing from a particular lender, make a fee adjustment the next time you are hired for one of their jobs.

miracle that they're getting one in the first place, but I

agree, print 1 and give to them should be good. How many did they send you?

If you are referring to Pinnacle Capital Mortgage, I do a lot of refis closings for them, and I never have to print an appraisal. It is someone adding to your work load/expense and it is NOT the lender.

I had a closing were the TC requested I print a copy of the appraisal for the borrower. I did and when I handed it to the borrower they said they already had a copy and theirs was in color. Now, if there's an appraisal in the package I check with the borrowers first before printing. So far, every borrower has had a copy so I didn't print one.

Another thing...

Yesterday I asked a borrower if they had requested a copy of the appraisal they said no and that they already had received one.
What may be happening is that a loan officer that I know off had started using a different title company for closings in Illinois since they charge more versus Wisconsin. Maybe they are now throwing in the appraisal ?
Either way I know that they won't budge on extra fee .
