Proficiency Signings

Thanks to all of you that have posted comments about Proficiency Signings. I just accepted a signing from them for tonight but after looking at the comments on signing central about how they don't pay, are liars, thieves, scam artists, etc. I called them back and cancelled. I've been burned by so many companies lately that don't pay, are really slow payers or have gone out of business after I've completed a few signings for them. That gets really discouraging in this business. It's nice to have a place to go to check on these non paying companies. Maybe if enough of us post about these companies and check before we accept signings these kinds of companies will be forced out of business. They cannot exist without us.

Totally agree - NotRot has saved me many times

from working for non-payers. Wow, that company sure has a lot of 1-star ratings!

Yes, that's what it's all about. Signing Central is a collective effort. I'm glad you were able to make your decision based on others' experience.

Me too.....I have refused to do closings for them as well after reading all of the comments.

ugh now Im feeling bad because I took 2 signings from them last month. Ive worked for them in the past plenty of times and I never had a problem with getting paid. But since I see everyone else is having issues, Im a bit scared now I might not see my fees for the 2 Ive done....

Since you've accepted appointments call, explain your fears and where it came from. Offer them the chance to use paypal before you go to closing. I've had trouble getting my last payment from them. I finally did get it but I don't like having to call and make threats or keep sending invoices. I did the job they asked me to do, now pay me.
