Service Link and faxiing
Can anyone tell me what they charge to do a Service Link closing. Bank of America is fax happy and sometimes I fax back 20 pages. Do you charge extra for faxing

My experience with ServiceLink is that that will not call me if they will not meet my fee. However they have the fee I established 8 years ago and they will generally not budge from it or pay additionally for faxing. My last faxback exceed 40 pages. Unless they are desperate they will not usually pay what I ask. Their BOA loans are usually quite a few pages and require the faxbacks.

It isn't really BofA that's fax happy--it's the tc's. Some are following the same guidelines they used to use with CW loans. I'm willing to do faxbacks when it comes to funding, but not for QC purposes.

I can vouch for that. It is the TC's that are doing it for QC purposes and not for funding.

They will not pay me for faxing. I have tried. Faxing is over 20 pages for boa. There are other lenders that they ask faxing for but, not that much. I think that this faxing is to make them look good.

I think the QC issue is about protecting their contract. I
dropped New Millenium Title Group because of the low fees, large packages, & faxbacks.

I get most of my business from ServiceLink, it is true they do not pay much $90 but they do pay and on time. BOA is the only lender that requires excessive fax backs, Chase none, Wells Fargo some. It is worth the extra time to keep busy, they are a large TC with 38 schedulers alone. I recommend working for them.

I agree. I get a good percentage of my work from ServiceLink. I've been with them for many years. They are like clockwork on their payments. I don't mind the faxbacks. I'm at home anyway watching TV at that point.

Re: I think the QC issue is about protecting their contract. I
I do charge extra for B of A packages with them. When I first talked to them about it they just staid with "we don't pay for faxbacks. The next time I told them my fee was higher for B of A they said "is this because of faxbacks because we don't pay for..." I said no it is because B of A takes more time. They said OK.
