Toner Ink~ is it the same?

I order toner from tonerkits.com.... I had a bigger laser jet printer and when I ordered the toner it came in 150 g bottles for 14.99 .. for my smaller laser jet printer they are charging 12.99 for only 85 g. bottles.

My question: isn't the toner in both bottles the same? Couldn't I order the bigger size for 2.00 more and it last almost twice as long? I didn't realize this until the new bottle came.

ALSO...do you know of any place to get it cheaper? Their prices have gone up!

*** LOL. Lesson learned... don't turn on the little hole burning machine that they give you and lay it on the side of a steel sink... UMMM YES... it popped and totally was ruined. !

Thanks for your HELP.

No, all toner is NOT the same. Also, never, ever squeeze the plastic bottle while filling a cartridge. Another 'lesson learned' the hard way.

if i had a dime for every time I spilled toner refilling my

cartridges, I'd have a dollar! I've learned not to rush it and just tap the sides of the bottle instead of squeezing it.

Re: if i had a dime for every time I spilled toner refilling my

If I may add here, when refilling cartridges I put them in a plastic bag and the cut a hole for the refill opening. I then tape all around the hole so that the plastic is taped to the cartridge. When I refill the cartridge, inevitably some toner escapes (BTW use gloves) but does not get into any other parts of the cartridge. After getting the toner settled in the cartridge I then take the bag off while turning it inside out. That way any extra toner is inside the bag and the cartridge is clean. Put a piece of tape over the refill opening and you are done.

No

Color is mixed with plastic in toner, and the "pieces" within the toner powder are different sizes.
Your printing may come up with big spotches of toner on the printed page.
Been there, done that ONCE.
LOL

I've never refilled toner carts. I buy remanufactured cartridges from LD Products. They are not that expensive.

Is it just me but, I have found lately that whether I buy toner refills ,new cartridges or refilled cartridges it is seeming to go quicker?
