What a difference a good EOM makes!!! ;>)
I've been catching up a bit on my reading here and it's so nice to see a good bit of light-heartedness return to this board!! The mood here seems to be much better than it's been in recent memory.
Let's hope and pray it stays that way - for a good while, at least! ('Cause we know higher interest rates will return eventually...)

I agree ;>)
It was a busy EOM and it's flowing into next week. I had one on Sat, 3 on Mon and one for WED already and I hope for more. Last week seemed like the good old days...I was excited...

Janet, I couldn't agree more! We all like making this work worth our while. I had a screaming month! I began turning away more work than I had time to do! It was an E-Ride.
We know it won't last forever, but enjoy the journey while it's here.

August was a fabulous month! Best month of the year. It was nice to have 4-5 calls per day last week. Sept. should be great.

Aug. was the best month I've had all year! It was both exhilarating & exhausting. I have a hunch Sept. is going to be slammed. Happy signings, everyone!

In my case, no EOM = no "IGTOFTS" moment for me. n/m

It's been practically radio silence over in my part of the world... as far as EOM/Loans go. But, I'm not surprised at all, there are a handful of NSAs in my area that gobble up the work for super low rates and have been around here for years. I've lived here (as a notary) for less than two years, so I'm not too surprised. I'm okay with that... I get a lot more general notary work anyway.
Plus, I'm going to likely be moving again soon anyway in the next 2-6 months... so I'm not going to work it too much. Now, where I'm likely going? There's NOBODY out there. The one notary that was out there that I found has apparently stopped working.

Nobody out there is great!

Marian, your area is probably like my area ..
84% of the existing mortgages are underwater ......... Even repos sales that closed 3 months ago are underwater ....... But I will be at the repo mill tomorrow, that's where it's happening ..... Need to eat my Wheaties .... Plus about 100 more repos are coming on the market in the next week at bargain basement prices .

Like you Marian EOM has been slow for me also. In fact, I have had almost as much of an income from my art work as I have from my notary work.

This past week was my first week back to work in nearly two months due to the ruptured disk. It was a great week and salvaged the month's backlog. Last month was shot, but hey, better one month than two. Yay for low interest rates!!
