received request from TC to correct missing seal on DOT (first one in 7 years).TC sent copy of signed ack to affix stamp.Is origional ack required or can copy be used?

I wouldn't do it... ask for the original. Your original seal should accompany your original signature. If they won't send the original to you, it sounds fishy.

PS--- make sure they send the ENTIRE

original DOT to you, not just the ACK page, which is often on it's own.

Agree with Marian - I would require the original document with my original signature be sent back to me.
