scam to beware of

I was called by an individual who wants me to sign an affidavit, put it in an envelope and mail it to banks. The document is asking the bank to provide information on forclosure properties, in order to help the owners out of the forclosure. They want my signature notorized by another notary too. Also, They want to put a return address in my name in a P.O. Box. I would get $50.00 for each letter. He is in Reno and says he is a minister. Has any one seen this.

Yes - very illegal

See Msg # 316868 and Msg # 310790

It has to do with a misunderstanding of notary protests. I've done research on it and the people that are involved twist interpretation of laws into all crazy things - things like the plaintiffs say they are considered "vessels" and thus subject to maritime law, or things like the "United States of America" has no authority because the declaration of independence spells it with a capital "u".

Basically some people with too much time on their hands trying to get out of a lawful mortgage that they signed up for.

Avoid at all costs! I was contacted by someone to do this who said that I "didn't understand my true authority" as a notary. A complete whacko!
