Extremely Frustrated - Richmond Title

I know they are supposed to be a good company but that has truly not been my experience. I have an invoice over 90 days now, and they are not responding at all to my calls or emails. The last response I received from Shannon was 11/22 stating that they issued a check, but they believe it was sent to the wrong address. I moved 3 years ago!! and I have given them the correct address no less than five times. I read that others on here had similar experiences with wrong addresses. If anyone has good advice on how to get it corrected once and for all I would appreciate it. Otherwise I am done with them. It is a shame because before this problem they were fairly quick to pay and decent fees.

This has been my experience with them lately as well. They owe me a few thousand dollars and now I havent received any new work in weeks and my normal check flow of around once per month hasnt come either....

A few thousand dollars????

That means more than 20 signings at just 100 each(they don't pay much). I don't give credit to any hiring entity like that. Recently I stopped taking more signings from a SS because their check were late
and they were in like 10 signings. Once they paid me 5 or 6 then I continue with more credit, I don't give more than 5 signings credit on any SS. Back in the good old days I had clients that I was getting
1.5-2Kdollars per check, those times are gone now.

Me too. I only allow even my best customers to owe me for 8-9 signings. I am comfortable with them, but it is business. My electric company does know that I will pay them, but they expect it in a timely manner. So I expect my payments on time as well.

Did you check Signing Central before accepting this assignment? They have a 3 star rating, which isn't good. Many notaries are not happy with them. I always check SC and if a company has a bad rating, I ask them to pay me upfront with PayPal. I don't accept any compay that has a 1, 2 or 3 star rating. Be sure to post a comment about them on Signing Central.

yes, mom...I have actually worked for them several times

and I have, indeed, always been paid. But I have had to hound them every single time. I was assured that this payment is on its way by fedex and the address issue is resolved.

I will give them one more chance, and if there are any problems I am done. More trouble than it is worth.

Re: yes, mom...I have actually worked for them several times

Why in the world would you give them "one more chance?"
Doing collections (hounding your debtors) is not very productive. You are not earning an new money doing this. If they don't pay, free up your time by working for more reliable companies, and also help put the deadbeats out of business.

Remember what your Mother used to say? "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."
