FASS
Unlike many of you I have continued to work for them and they consistently met my price which, of course, was higher than they offered. It frequently took at least two phone calls (nuisance). Suddenly, they call and never call back with the increased fee approval. Anyone left still working for them having the same experience? I can't afford to work for their low price. Most of the signings around here require a minimum 2hour round trip.

I, too, had enjoyed a nice working relationship with them.....my fee was in their system and there was never any question. Most of the work was for Chase - refi's - short and sweet. A few weeks ago, the calls slowed down and when they did call, it was for long distances. I don't travel out that far.
Last week I got a call for one that was further out than usual but ok, I thought I'd go ahead and take it. Then she said "$75". I was surprised, I said no my fee XXX, it's always been that amount. So she said she'd "try to get it approved". Haven't heard back since. I think they've undergone some changes, maybe lost some accounts? Whatever, unfortunately, they are not a source for me anymore.
They must be finding enough notaries to go out at $75, good luck to them.

Not getting that fee from us, they call all the time but never meet our numbers. Their hand holding is not worth their fees. Some notary is getting rich $20 at a time....

I have had the same experience. I was getting lots of calls and then it slowed down to almost nothing. Now I will get a call and they will offer me a low figure and I will say no and they will usually call back with the "approved" number. Yesterday I got a call to go to a signing that I had already checked out on their site to see where it was and it was 5 miles from my house but up a mountain with no maintained road. When they called and asked if I would do it for $75 I said no. They said it was only 5 miles from my house so I told them yes, but it is up a mountain with no maintained road. He said he would find somebody else. Sure enough, 1/2 an hour later they called and had my fee approved. I am also tired of having to listen to their speech about the conversation being recorded and do I want to continue. Very annoying when you are busy and the person giving the speech can barely speak English.

I don't like them. I did a job for them once and my stamp fell out of my briefcase in my car when I opened it to look for directions. When I got inside, the woman client was all suspicious of me for some reason and when I didn't have my stamp in my briefcase, that sealed the deal, I was obviously a maniac there to cheat her and her husband out of money or something
...anyway, long story short, I told her I always kept my stamp in my briefcase and had no idea why it wasn't there now, asked her did she want me to check in my car - she said "no" and when I left, I went to my car and found it and asked her husband if I should come back in and stamp everything, he said no, that's alright. But then this lady called FASS and complained about me and FASS called and asked what happened. No big deal I thought, could have happened to anyone. I guess not though because they removed me from their list and never called me again. I tried to ask why and no one had answers. Oh well, that was at least a couple years ago and I like working for other title companies better anyway. I am not a robot, but I do damn good work every time.

I have been having the same experience lately. I get a call from them, offered a lower fee then what I normally get from them. When they say they need to get the fee approved, then never call back. One lady I talked to said that if I was signing in the southern California area I would never get my requested fee. I told her I live in a very rural area. Anyway, it's not fair that these companies keep low balling us!

Life is not fair. Just say no and let it go. You will never have complete agreement with everyone.

They haven't been calling me as much either. They always meet my fee of XXX for local trips, within 30 min. But they are now calling with jobs over an hour away and expect me to do it for the same amount. Forget that!

In my area, my fees are met, there's no "getting
approval," and their on-line Confirmation (with Bo) confirmation/Completion process is Fasst. Pay like clockwork.

Just don't consider them your long term friend. It's a good ride while it lasts, but they will and have droped MANY good performing seasoned notaries for no reason, without warning. Fickle lot. Good ride, but may not be a long journey.

Re: In my area, my fees are met, there's no "getting
Same here. I'm still getting calls from and doing work for them, and I just tolerate the hand-holding, which is not as much as it used to be (maybe they've finally realized they don't need to hold my hand?). They meet my (non-low ball) fee, but that may be because this area is not saturated with SAs and there's not a whole lot of competition, so they just have to bite the bullet and pay. However, I'm upping my fees beginning Jan 1 and we'll see what happens then. Also, at lot of calls from them are for beyond my area. In the summer, I might take them within a reasonable extended distance, but not during our winter months.

On the last assignment we had to complete a one time agreement form but they met our fee. There is only two other SA's listed at our other homes location.

Podle that usually means they've now found
the cheapest notary in your area. You won't hear from them again until they get tired of fixing the errors.
