it came from a notary and not the company itself. IMO, I wouldn't consider it to be advertisement.

We talk about the bad companies a lot and it is nice to hear about the good ones too just to remind us that there are some good companies out there to work for.

Agreed. I believe "advertising" would refer to self-promotion of some sort, or a post by someone who has a beneficial interest in what they're promoting here.
