Handheld portable scanners
Some think I am a computer whiz, but it's easy to cherry pick the questions you know the answers to, and that's me. ..... Which brings me to a technology I have paid no attention to until accompanying my wife on her annual after-Christmas sale pilgrimage. I noticed a hand-held scanner that stored the image to an SD card for 99 bucks at, of all places, Bed, Bath and Beyond. It would be consideribly cheaper after presenting my discount coupon... Wish I could remember the brand. Oh well, senior moment.
I would appreciate anyone's feedback on hand held scanners.
PS, I hope everyone caught in that storm there on the East Coast are well. I knew it was going to be a doozie back there after it blew through here last week....

Glenn, I have an IRIScan, $199, single sheet mobile, perfect!
I got it at a computer store and use it for small scan projects. Its easy, can use it on win or mac...no issues for the last two years...expensive little thing, but its been so useful. Especially when borrowers do not have copies of their ID, etc.
good luck...

Glen, I have a VuPoint Solutions Magic Wand Portable Scanner that does a good job on small projects. It does very good on driver license, passport or small scans. I have to place the documents in a plastic folder for best scans. I think I paid $99.00 on QVC. It has more than paid for itself. Hope this helps some.
