Is it *that* busy???

So, I got a call from ServiceLink, asking me to do a signing 78 miles away tomorrow evening. Normally, I'd think, "Okay, they must live out in the boonies..." But NO!! This was for an area just outside of the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. The scheduler told me that she'd called over FORTY notaries in Los Angeles and all of them were busy or didn't want to travel because of the weather (tomorrow is supposed to be the worst of rain).

Is it really that busy right now?

I was scheduled for 4 signings last night. Spread out all over the valley. I quit answering my phone as I ended up being an hour behind because of the weather and "reading" borrowers. I have 2 for tonight and 1 for tomorrow already. A LO last night told me that we should expect a busy time for the beginning of 2011, don't know if that is true or not. I do know that the storm coming in tonight is supposed to be even worse than the rain we have already had. This is a crazy business.

It's not that it's that busy, it's that the pool of $50 notaries dries up when the weather gets a little adverse ....

I have been in NorCal for the last week taking care of some other business. Things down south have been slow, but the past 3 days, my phone has been ringing non-stop. As far as I can tell, it is ringing because many notaries are not going out in the bad weather.

Of course, I am in the North instead of home, so oh well.

I've been *that* busy lately, which has been nice, because I can do a little cherry picking and keep my assignments close to home. Not nearly so many signings in the boonies as I used to do. I'm also fully booking my schedule days in advance (I currently just have one more appointment available this week). I'm enjoying the busier schedule.

Yes, it that busy

Did 4 today and turned down 6 more. Tonight the rain was falling so hard that I could barely see to drop off docs and get home.

I'll do signing tomorrow in the daylight hours, but not at night as the sky is suppose to open tomorrow in a vengeance.

My poor dog (rescue) didn't sign up for this weather! LOL
