NEW THREAD HUGH! Grounded in Jacksonville, FL

Due to weather, JAX to ATL cancelled so not returning until flight tomorrow at same time. I may have to get to airport and try to fly out of some other connection. Wow, what an inconvenience. Great that I have back up in Santa Barbara or I'd be sunk big time.

Came down to check in on Dad's house in Ocala. Didn't bank on being here for so long. At least I have a warm room and coffee, tv and laptop with me.

I have a spare warm room and we're only a little over an hour west of JAX...

What weather is holding you up there?? I know it's 41 here and having a hard freeze tonight...ugh...

What is with this weather in FL? Are we going for a repeat

performance of last year? We are to have 35 tonite, with 28 Mon, creeping back up to 35 by Wed????? Wind is almost roaring out there - there are no leaves on my roof!

Windy here too - and a hard freeze for the

next 4 nights...only into mid 40's tomorrow and Tuesday - by Thursday high 60's

By weekend we'll be in the hospital with pneumonia!!!

I'm duking it out with green tea, apples and popcorn from the vending machine. Tomorrow is oatmeal apple, yoghurt and more green tea, then off to the airport to see if I can get on a plane outta here to somewhere closer to CA. Maybe Des Moines, but it's 3 degrees there and snowing. I can't wait to get home and sleep in my own bed! Thanks for the offer though. Jacksonville is a neat town.

I spent the night in Salt Lake city in early Oct because my first plane had mechanical issues and I missed all my other connections. First class the rest of the way home.

From the weather reports for my area North East Ohio we will all be grounded for a few days..Blizzard predicted here..Snow to be measured in feet instead of inches..Im heading to Nashville on Thrusday..Hopefully!

Doesn't look good for getting out of Jacksonville to Atlanta to LAX. Looking at flight out of Jacksonville to Miami and Miami to LAX. Weather not improving in Atlanta. Need to ge back home and work.
