Quickbooks/Printer help please. Why is Quickbooks

trying to default a printer? I've never had this before. After I enter things and reconcile, I want to print a summary. It is defaulting to Quickbooks PDF converter, not my normal default printer. This is really weird. I am having to go into control panel and delete the quickbooks printer before it will do anything. Any help appreciated.

Sounds like you had a program update. It sometimes resets the defaults.

Try going into file and printer setup and re choose your default printer for each item listed.

Re: Interesting - Same thing here

also. Of course I blamed it on the overwhelming number of issues I was having trying to install the HP 1536 AIO...which I was unable to get installed due to softward glitch. But that's another story.

I noted my default kept switching to Quck Books Printer.........glad to know I'm not alone.

Re: Quickbooks/Printer help please. same thing here

This has happened to me too recently. It only happens when I am printing fedex/ups labels. Not for invoices. I do use the PDF converter, for saving invoices to my hard drive, if I want to e-mail them. (the internal send feature was taken away, unless you upgraded to the latest product). Make sure you leave the box unchecked, so that you can choose a printer, instead of it auto-defaulting.
I am using QBPro2007.

Sorta similar but different ...

Mine is another Windows 7 glitch - Quicken H&B v.2009 will no longer e-mail invoices. I have to print them to Cutepdf first, then attach to e-mails.

Don't care, STILL think Windows 7 rocks.
