Rain, Rain go away

Well the grapes are loving it, but I've had plenty all weekend, didn't step outside at all after I returned from a noon signing. It is pouring, 10 inches so far and 8 more coming this week before Christmas.

Packing my bag and heading into town for a hectic month end closing and tons of foreclosure sales. Can't be trudging around in this rain in my little car, so hanging out in town for a few days. HAPPY MONTHEND, be careful and take care out there this week. Roads and mountains are challenging. Santa Barbara county has FLASH flood/mud slide warnings in the burn areas. Happy Holidays to one and all! Glad I'm not getting on a plane but just driving to family home in Ojai for the big Christmas celebration with siblings and nephew!

Well, at least your not digging your car out of snow. I hate snow shoveling. LOL

Really, it's just rain.

At my death they'll have to pry my rain gauge from my moss covered fingers here in the evergray state. Just consider it as refilling the reservoirs for those long hot Summer months

Me?

I find the rain refreshing and Summers here are incredible and the other three seasons are no slouches. The rain is the only thing that keeps our far southern neighbors from rushing up here and setting up LA/SFO/SDO light.

Re: Me?

I worked in Seattle the last two working years of my telecommunications career. I loved it, plus the rain kept my allergies in check. I liked it when I would look out my back window and see rain and go to my front door and it was snowing.

My wife didn't go with me, she said moving to Oakland from LA was a shock but Seattle? She said the brightest color in Seattle was grey. LOL

Howdy Philip from another Washington Mossback. Smile I agree. Love the rain. Scares the tourists away.

We can only wish......

In Phoenix we pray for rain. A few drops on the sidewalks and we are out on the patio looking at it, smelling it and trying to get enough drops together to get wet!

Re: We can only wish......

We are so dry here in KS that we would love some of that moisture. Things are blowing out of the ground. I'm pretty sure the wheat crop is ruined for just about the entire state. We haven't seen a drop of moisture in the western part of the state for a couple of months. The only time you see water is going thru the car wash!
