Safir Signing Agents
I have posted about them before. I tried to enter the name in Signing Central but it won't let me, it says it is already in the system, but it isn't. Safir signing agents is also known as Genuine Title. GT has a 2 star rating. When I accepted the assignment, under Safir Signing Agents, there was no listing for Safir SA in Signing Central. So, I took the assignment, not finding them in SC. This is a travesty for notaries. Safir Signing Agents owe me money and it's because of Notary Rotary's failure to protect notaries that I worked for free. Notary Rotary shame on you.

That takes the cake, DD. Surely you are not serious. Notary Rotary is not our daddy; and, the only payment information they have on companies is provided by posters. You're lucky they provide anything for notaries.
If I were the owner of NR, I would revoke your membership and refund you 100%.

I kind of agree with you on this, Brenda. We're lucky to have Signing Central & have the ability to avoid most of the deadbeats. There is risk in this business.

Brenda, you must be a new notary or just maybe you're a company, HMM?. By the way, I don't have a membership so they can't revoke it. That is precisely why I don't become a member, because I don't feel protected by NR. After all, supposedly, that is the reason why NR exists, to help protect notaries from unethical companys, is it not?

share information voluntarily. NR has no responsibility for "protecting" us.

DD, you DO have a membership. It's a free one and it can be revoked. I'm honestly shaking my head that you are lodging such a complaint about NotRot when you don't even pay to be a premier member. This website feeds me a huge amount of my client calls and I am happy to pay to be a premier member. It has also saved me from working for deadbeats too many times to count (SC and search function). Thank you NotRot!

They provide information for you to use, but you have to do the searching. You are responsible for taking the risk in your business. No one else! I understand your frustration, but I always do a search with the orange search button regardless if whether the company is listed in Singing Central or not. The word "Safir"comes up with a long history of poor payment. I don't think you can blame this one on NotRot.
|
Reply by Ilene C. Seidel on 12/1/10 12:59pm Msg #363417
And if I'm not mistaken Safir Signing has been discussed before. You have to do both search in SC and our chatroom. Never rely on just SC! Shannon calls me a lot I've told her each time I will not work for them due to the non payment problems. I live about a mile away. You should contact Jay Zuckelberg to get your money. Just google it. If Safir's running a business out of his title company he should know about it.

I think a lot of notaries don't know they can use the orange button. I will try to contact Jay Zuckelberg although I don't have a number on him.

I don't buy that DD. Just a simple search finds that you have been posting as far back as Msg #263349 9/5/08, maybe longer. More than enough time to hear about the search button and learn how to use it.
"I do blame myself to an extent." -- The ONLY two "people" that are to blame here are the SS and you, for not doing your homework. Especially when you seek to blame NotRot and anyone else besides yourself and the SS, I would say that you deserve more blame than normal.

Sorry, Dixie, you totally knew all of these things and/or had them pointed out to you on many occassions. You have chastized yourself for not checking, you have persistently reviewed companies after you took the order and then not turned it back. It is as though you are two people, maybe even three or four, all using the same DD/OR. Something is wrong, Dixie, but it is not NotRot.

Just going to Signing Central is not enough when checking out companies. If you had typed in Safir using the Search Button, you would have found plenty of information including connecting him to Genuine Title. Use every available means to check out an unknown to you company, which includes checking Signing Central, using the Search button and using Google or whichever search engine you prefer. Since Mr. Safir is connected to Genuine Title you won't be able to enter his name into Signing Central. You need to contact NR using the "contact us" link at the bottom of the page to get Safir Signing added. This man has burned plenty of bridges under the Genuine Title name, now he's using a different name to burn more notary bridges.

Sorry about your trouble DD, but Konstantin Safire/Safire Signing/ Genuine Title have all been discussed here before. I too am owed by them, and IF I see a post about them I don’t hesitate to call the whole bunch THEIVES! Let them PROVE me different. A very important part of this ‘job’ is learning who to work for and trust, and IMO it’s the most expensive part of being a NSA. Thank Harry, and all of us Notary Rotary members for freely sharing the information we do. It could be worse.

Every job I take I check their reputation and if none exists I take a chance, but I don't drive far, in more than 5 years doing this only 2 or 3 jobs I haven't been paid, and that's because they file bankruptcy or just they just disappear from the face of the earth. Email Shannon and told her I could not take this because of their payment history (gen. Title) She assured me I would get paid. Shannon beg me and finally I was suckered in and did the signing. Guess what...Kosty didn't want to pay but I bug the heck out of them will all the faxes and email. Finally they did pay. No more will I listen to these sob storys. This is such a prevalent attitude now a days
Too many people who don't take responsibility for their own actions. It's always someone else who's at fault. Who can we blame, who can we sue? But I guess someone should have told you who not to work for, someone should have told you about the bright orange button, someone should have showed you how to use Google, someone should have saved you from yourself. What a poor excuse for a supposed self-employed business person.
I admit it, I've made poor decisions and I've screwed up plenty of times. Sometimes in spectacular fashion. But I don't blame anyone except the person in the mirror, and I learn from it. You really should try it.

Wow, to the point and a perfect response Al. Sadly, I blame this all on the way kids are brought up today. Everybody in Little League, Youth soccer, swimming (name the competitive sport) always earns a trophy! They do not know that there are winners and there are losers. If you lost, it's probably because the winners cared more about winning. Kids grow up expecting to get the trophy in the business world just because they participated. Sorry folks, but there is no participation trophy in the business world, and if you come in second, you lost business.

DD, you knew better, and did it anyway! Your own fault.
1. You have been told many times about the Search button, and you also were very well aware that Signing Central doesn't always show the listing under the name you're looking for. This has been discussed many times, and in threads you posted. 2. One minute you say SC "rocks", and the next minute you hate it. Why don't you take responsibility for your own laziness, and pay attention to what people tell you!! 3. You posted about Safir and got immediate responses warning you not to take the signing. Then, you took it anyway. That's your own fault. You even could have returned the signing to them if you were worried about it. 4. You are not even a paying member of NotRot! How dare you accuse them of failing to protect you? That is not NotRot's responsibilty, it's yours. If NotRot has helped you, isn't it worth being a paying member? 5. NotRot doesn't add good or bad companies to SC; the members do that. It's not NotRot's fault if a company isn't listed. You could've done a lot more research, but were apparently too lazy. Even when others warned you, you ignored the warnings. And now you're whining about it? 6. How dare you accuse Brenda of being a newbie (not that there's anything wrong with that!) You should check your facts before making such a ridiculous statement. Anyone who's been a NotRot member for a while knows that Brenda is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable notaries out there, and is always willing to share information and help others whenever she can. 7. Anytime you disagree with a post, you accuse the poster of being a "company" that is out to screw you over. You sound like a whiny, immature child who is holding her fingers in her ears, refusing to hear the truth and learn from others. Most of us are independent signing agents. There are title and signing services who come to the forum to check their ratings and make occasional posts, but that's the minority. We come here to get advice, tell stories about signings, check ratings of companies, etc. We help each other a lot, but no one else is responsible for your bad decisions. You would be better off to listen and learn, than to rant at others.
