re: msg # 364349, UPS changes
After having gotten "charged" by UPS at least 6 times (yes, they credited each one, but omg, what a hassle!), I now write in red ink, next to the waybill, "Bill Receiver". Hope this helps.

The last pkg I took to UPS I was told the "sender" portion
at the top must be filled out with "senders" information and it couldnt be "same as below" indicating "Sender" and "Receiver" are the same.

Use a drop box, many SC's & TC's are refusing charges &
reversing them back to the sender. Then you get stuck with reversal fee & shipping costs. Or have the company send you a pre-printed label.

That WAS a preprinted label I used, it didnt have senders
info included so I wrote in "Same As Below" like I have always done and they refused to send it until I filled in the "Senders" portion with a name and address.

I don't remember the last time the drop box in the parking lot by my office asked for my identification.

Shipper portion of waybill ...
Very simple.
If it is required and must be different than receiver, write the sender as:
1. The lender name & address from the note or mortgage, who is the ultimate customer of the title company, or ...
2. The borrower's name & address, who are the consumer that you are returning the package for.
If the signing service or title company refuse to pay for shipping: Both the borrower or lender will be very loudly angry to lender, loan officer, and state consumer protection or attorney general if they are billed a SECOND TIME for a service they already pre-paid for on the HUD-1 at closing.

Excellent suggestion, Bobbi...
I've seen many pre-printed labels included in the doc package that have the Borrower as Sender.

You have a devilishly devious turn of mind, Bobbi.
Are you sure we haven't been married?

I dropped 2 pkgs locally like I usually do on Friday and they were not logged into the UPS system. It was an authorized shipping location with a live person. I stopped to ask if they would go out and was told yes. These were hand written waybills. I was NOT asked for ID.
Checking my packages today at the UPS website they have not been registered. I'm in the process of tracking them down now.
If you dropped any in the last day or two using a hand written waybill you might want to double check they were shipped properly.

I dropped one late Thursday at manned facility..
Handwritten airbill, no ID taken...pkg on its way.."in transit" - scanned in at destination city this morning at 12:11am..
So no problems.

I picked up a copy of the receipt the driver signs for at the store where I dropped off. Cross your fingers that mine will show up in scans soon!
