They didn't have to mail them until 01/31

That means they should have mailed them Monday, at the latest. I'd allow another week for them to come in. I pay off of my Invoices that have been paid during the year, so they really don't matter a whole lot to me. My gross notary income will always be far more than the 1099's will be anyway. I don't fudge on the ones that paid me less than $600 and don't have to send me a 1099. They send'em, fine..they don't send'em, that's fine with me too.

As long as you kept good records of Sales you don't need 1099's

My reporting doesn't rely on 1099s. If they show up

to confirm, great. If they're late, oh well - I've already reported anyway.

The professionals are timely, the fly-by-nights aren't. That's the way of it, no?

The way I see it, their reporting is not my problem, my reporting is what counts.

The same here. If my reccords match my bank account then I am good to go. It is a plus if the 1099 comes for the EIN number.
