1st National Title, LLC
Out of Business! Called to check on two outstanding invoices from December and the phone was answered by an answering service who could provide no information. Was told to send my invoices by regular mail, but they cannot say if I will get paid. They are located in Owings Mills, MD

Did you go to the SOS of Maryland or
whomever runs the licenses for TC's in Maryland? I wouldn't necessarily take the word of an answering service to see what happened.

I also did a refi closing for 1st National Title, LLC (Owings Mills, MD) on December 22, 2009. I have been calling for the past 3 weeks about my payment and have been getting voice mail. I called this morning (2/1/10) and got an answering service who said 1st National Title has gone out of business and for me to send my invoice to the address in Owings Mills, MD and there is a company looking at 1st National Title's bills and I may or may not get paid.

You need to contact the lender and let them know. I did and they gave contact info including that the title co is still closing loans in their name. The lenders need to know what is happening.

PS I visited their offices in Owings Mills, MD and dropped my invoices in the slot with all the other unopened mail (on the floor). The offices looked abandoned.
