Advice from someone who has one - please.

I need to purchase a new color copier, upgrade my scanner and get a newer FAX machine. I would like to purchase a all-in-one so I don't have machine all over my work area. Price..under $500. Thanks for your recommendations in advance..James

Do you have one? I need to ask questions of someone who has one already.

I have a Brother MFC8440 and love it , but it isn't color or in the price range that you posted. Sorry, I thought you were looking for a good price source not a recommendation of a specific make or model. But Newegg did have several makes and model in the price range you requested. Maybe take a look and find a model you like and then request info on the model your interested in purchasing.

James I have the a color brother all in one

and I got it for Christmas 2 years ago and works really good. It's an inkjet I scan those faxbacks and a 120 pages turns into 4 or 4.5mb size file. I am typing this from my laptop so when ever I get back to my office I will let you know the model exactly.

My wife got me this one 2 years ago for 49.99 after rebate at staples. It's been good, I use it only for fax, scan only because the ink runs out fast and I print everything with my other lasers.Brother MFC-5460CN

You are welcome, honestlySmile

I bought mine through the military store, it was $85 through them, and I thought it would be nice for a back up printer for that price. Now, I use it all the time.

Re: S Y L V I A to the rescue. Now about

My fax has missing "teeth" and acts like a shredder LOL and my scanner is no longer capatible with my computer. I'm getting tired of moving between computers. This looks like it will work the same way for me as it does for you.

OK Sylvia. I need help too. I am looking too for bascially

the same thing, EXCEPT it has to have an actual phone to talk on. I'm having a very hard time finding one. This is what I want: copier, scanner, fax with phone. Does not have to be laser and I would prefer color and I also want the scanner to be flatbed if possible. The only one I am seeing is an HP but I already have the HP 3050 all in one and it scans terrible. I hate it.
Is this possible to find.
Has anyone looked into leasing a laser printer, copier, scanner, fax? Wonder what the cost is. Have to check that out. I would almost be willing to pay more to get new equipment every couple years and they do all the maintenance.

Linda
Bruce says there is a telephone jack on the machine that you can attach a phone to. I haven't used that feature though.

Re: OK Sylvia. I need help too. I am looking too for bascially

Duh. I knew it was there but didn't think it would work for me. On my current fax machine which has a phone attached, I use the jack for a seperate answering machine. If I get a phone with an answering machine I can use the jack on the all in one I have. Will work on that this week. Thanks and tell Bruce thanks also. Hope you are both doing well.

I just bought a Brother MFC-495CW - so far I am really happy with it - $100 at staples - it's not a laser but it has a lot of nice features
