Good portable laser printer deal @ Office Depot $50

For the Brother HL 2140 --- it's small, monochrome laser that works well as a portable printer. It handles both legal and letter.

Office Depot has it on sale for $49.99 through the 20th.

I would not get this to use as your primary printer if you do print a lot of loan packages --- it's best for lighter duty printing or those emergency prints on the road.

I have that printer and love it! It prints faster than my big multifunction laser printer.

Using the printer in your car...

As a follow-up, I received a PM about using the printers in your vehicle.

I've done this... and I know others have by installing or using a the proper power inverter.

Obviously, you don't leave the printer in your car all the time. Well, I don't.

Marian, I am looking for a small printer for my car to use with an inverter. I looked at this one. Would it be good enough? Can it print docs connected to laptop using a USB cable. It just seemed kind of flimsy but for the price may be worth a try. What I don't like about Brother is having to replace the drum at some point.
