Has anyone been paid by the Notary Diva ...

from last Oct/Nov/Dec.? She posted earlier this month something about how her babysitters ripped her off. But she promised to still pay. But she hasn't paid me (nor two other notaries I know of) for months. She doesn't respond to my e-mails or answer her phone. Wonder if she's going out of business...?

I haven't and don't expect to either. After what she asked me to do I told her to keep her money and get someone else to cover for her. She's already posted about this earlier so no need to drag it out. I would like to see her keep her word to you others who've done work for her but don't hold your breathe.

I did one Nov 25 and got paid Jan 2, 2010. It's the only one I've ever done for her. I had to call her for that payment, but then she paid right away.

LETS GIVE THIS TIME...

I think you guys might be premature in your decision to meltdown on this one. Has anyone really tried to call? I called this week and again today. Both times she either picked up or called right back. I've done signings for her for 3 years. I don't know her personally but she has always paid on time and sometimes earlier than most. She had a setback and is very forthcoming and honest with myself as well as others that I know that work with her too (I have relatives who are notaries in other states that she uses as well). I'm sure we all need our payments but I'm not worried she won't pay all of us. She is an upstanding businesswoman who has no intentions to go out of business. I have done signings for her with several escrow companies and all have been very easygoing. No fax backs, keep it simple. No drama. I am owed 3 payments and received my first one yesterday. She told me this morning that she was mailing in order as signings were completed and should have everything out by next Friday. GOLDGIRL, if you are owed from October, I would pick up the phone and make contact. When I mentioned to her that somebody is saying they are owed from October, she said no one has tried to make contact with her about missing October checks. As far as she knows there isn't anything further back than Nov 29. I don't know. Just passing information. I think you might want to call her. She's very pleasant and easy going. I won't make my judgments on her company standing based on 1 situation when I've had 30 great ones. Maybe you guys will eat me alive for my not being in agreement but I just think its way too premature to pass such a harsh judgement.

She has another side and consider yourself fortunate. I respect your comment, no attacks from me. You should NOT have to call people to remind them you haven't been paid. They called you to do a job, they are the stakeholder.

I don't think I was being harsh, Don. I was simply inquiring if anybody/everybody has been paid (except me). I'm very glad you have a good relationship with her, but that has not been my experience. She has been flat-out unresponsive to me regarding payment inquiries, and I was curious if anyone else was still having trouble.

As far as linking to SC, The Notary Diva listing says "Unavailable." I'm not exactly sure what that means, but for practical purposes, it looks like we can't list anything, and there aren't any member comments. etc., leading me to ask if maybe that means after her huge setback that she is no longer in businesss - just a question, not a condemnation. Before I took the job from her, I looked her up on SC and she had great reviews - now all that is gone. So I'm wondering what all that means ...?

I have called 2x in the last week, also sent her a PM after reading another thread that stated everyone had been paid. My messages have gone unanswered. I completed my first signing for her December 1st after checking here and seeing mostly good comments. I started a thread after receiving her email a few weeks ago in which I too felt empathy for her situation and said I was willing to be patient, however I don't think it is too much to ask for a return call or email to update me on the situation so Notary Diva if your reading this thread understand that some of us have never done business with you in the past and it doesn't
look good for you to ignore attempts to reach you. You asked me to extend you the courtesy of waiting for my payment. Please do the same and return my calls!

Well I guess Don has the inside track because I did receive an email yesterday from the Notary Diva stateing she needed my address (which is not posted by the way) so hopefully I'll get my check soon. Thanks Don if you had anything to do with getting Diva to respond...and if not maybe this means she's catching up just like she said. I'll keep everyone posted.

I think the "unavailable" means there aren't enough comments to create a rating for this company. I just looked and there is only one comment. Once people start placing comments on her listing then there will be a star rating.
