Indiana Notaries--Help
I have been hired by a company out of CA. called Global Discoveries. They want me to have a few pages notarized regarding "Assignment of Rights to Claim Tax Sale Surplus." The skinny on this is that they are an outsourced company that helps people get money that is due them through a tax sale upon a foreclosed property. My question regarding this is, why do they need someone from CA. to become their POA to get these funds? The tax sale happened 2 years ago. Anyone else out there familiar with this type of transaction?

There are many companies that help people recover money that may be coming to them, for a fee. Nothing against the law, IMO. I’ve done many such for United Recovery. When you get the package it should be self explanatory. United Recovery pays in front.

It is a company finds abandon property (often from death) and find the heirs to the property. I was paid quite well for the one I did for them. They sent a check in the Fed Ex package with all the paperwork.
