Mortgages, no. Deeds (quit claim, warrenty..) yes. I think there is one county that does reqiure witnesses to the mortgage. PAW, Linda, JBA....?

I just found it on pawnotary.com, Dixie county. Oh, and one can be the notary.

Dixie County, to my knowledge, is the only one - requires two witnesses on the mortgage. If outside Dixie County then no witnesses required on mortgage, two witnesses on Deed (notary can be one) - make sure they print their names under their signatures. Also, be sure witnesses on mortgage are not a Lender requirement.
