L & L Notary aka Affiant Nationwide Signings - Class Act
Yesterday I was involved in a situation with L & L and another another signing service here in Michigan (we'll call them signing service A). L & L contracted signing service A for a closing, they hired me. Since L & L was already a client, and my fee was the same as the fee they were paying signing service A, I was told by signing service A to just bill L & L directly. So I did. Both ended up paying me. After this came to light, both signing services wanted to resolve the situation. Signing service A approached the situation by sending an email that was confrontational, accusatory, and rude. Mercedes of L & L approached the situation by picking up the phone and having a pleasant and positive conversation. After checking our records, it was clear to both of us that signing service A made the error (they still deny it but I took notes at the time and I still remember the phone conversation). Of course I was still paid twice, I didn't catch it, and I immediately said I would send a check back. Mercedes response: don't worry about it, just give us a discount on the next one. Class, class, class. I won't reveal the other signing service, this isn't about them. It's about Mercedes and L & L and giving them a little recognition for the way they conduct their business. Kudos to them.

Yes they are....I did one for them, title forgot to send me some Docs and wanted to blame me for not sending back docs they never sent, Go figure. Anyway, L & L wanted to resolved the issue and suggested I did forget, I told them to get another notary and keep the money I was suppose to be paid. They paid me anyway, I sent the check back and told them TC lied and tried to cover-up. I told them if they wanted to pay me something, pay me my $4.oo bridge toll...They did. ..And they called me back to do another signing for them....that went ok. Yep class act indeed.
