i don't know what has happened???? but have worked as a signing agent for since october, calls were coming in and now all of a sudden have not received a call since january. could someone explain to me what's could have possibly happened.

I've gotten a few calls this month but not many. To make matters worse, I've had to turn down about half a dozen due to the snow we got or a conflict with my schedule that I could not change. I've also turned down a couple due to low fee.

New GFE and Respa regulations

We are closing loans...but not nearly as much as we are used to. I know once the lenders get the hang of things...we will all be up to speed. We just all need to hang in there a little while longer.

I started my business in October (several years ago) and was very busy through December. I thought that was how it was going to be every month. Then January came along and my phone was dead. And every year since then January has been a slow month. Last February was great but this February is just as slow as January. The financial climate runs our business. If people can't get loans we don't work.

I agree with Chelley and Doris..This is a typical slow down..I also believe the slow down started with the new Respa rules..And the weather has had an impact all over the country!

Just my thoughts on this..Hang on if you can afford to. Rest assured it is not our fault!!

Doris, Sadly you hit it on the nail head.

It appears to be a nationwide problem. So far February is very slow. Hopefully next week we will all get a bit more business.

Like you said Doris "if people can't get loans we don't work."
