National Real Estate Information Systems: NREIS no pay!

They have been giving me the runaround for weeks now. I keep being told my check has been mailed yet I have not received it. They are completely unorganized with their payment processing.

calling the title companies and borrowers involved

You do what you need to do, BUT I would not be in favor of calling the borrowers.
They paid , via their closing costs. They are NOT responsible for your paymnet, and
they should NOT be involved in your collection efforts.

Re: calling the title companies and borrowers involved

I agree on not calling the borrowers..NREIS has been getting slower and slower for the last few months and the fees they are offering is really a sad sign of the times..I am saying no from now on! They owe me money too!

<<<They are completely unorganized with their payment processing.>>>

They are way beyond unorganized. They decided some time ago not to pay. They are liars and cheaters (rude ones at that), along the lines of SOX and the recently exposed Notary Diva (anotarygirl), and anyone who takes any work from them has to be nutz or an uber optimist.

And, to Bowie/MD: Don't forget the lender and the PA Dept. of whatever it is that oversees NREIS and the FBI internet fraud web-site.. and maybe the SOS etc etc. There's also a ton of previous posts about their not paying - Good luck.

I see it a little differently, although I'm not defending their actions. My guess is they've hit a cash flow issue, like so many of the rest of us, with volume down. Maybe they lost a big client, maybe it's just the slowdown on a larger scale. Seems to me that they are very carefully "organizing" when and to whom they pay and they're trying to do a balancing act. No one will give any answers, so that's just speculation on my part. They may be hoping that they can spread around whatever inflow they have to keep the doors open and to keep enough notaries working for them in hopes that volume will increase as we go into spring (which could happen).

The checks are being cut, but the fact that they aren't being released by accounting leads me to presume that they are having trouble covering them. Like I said, just speculation on my part, but that is often the reality that businesses have to deal with during slowdowns - especially when business loans are so hard to come by.

Extensions for the accounting dept.

Try either, or both, of these extensions.

The main number I have for NREIS is 866-733-7317

Jeri ext. 1101 or Will ext. 1141

I was warned that "they can be hard to get a hold of, and I'm in the same building" .

Good luck everyone.

People, rate them in Signing Central! They don't have very

many no-pay comments. SC is our best tool, but it's only as good as we make it!

Just realized they have 3 listings in Signing Central - one

listed under NREIS and two listed under National Real Estate Information Services. No wonder the bad reviews aren't showing up! (I was looking at the NREIS listing.)
