Offering Kudos to a SS..... Yes really
The Kudos I’m offering goes to Doc Pros (personally – Dori) for HOW they handled a payment situation. I haven’t worked for them for several years (just didn’t receive any calls). They called me for a job in Dec, which I accepted. I failed to get my “paperwork” (w9 or something) in until Jan, so I cannot fault them for any “late” or “slow” payment.
I called to check on the payment last Friday and was told that it went out last week (may have been that day or day before). When payment did not arrive today, I again called to verify that it went out last week; Alisha said that she would send a note to accounting and have them get back with me confirming when the check was mailed out.
WOW! In LESS THAN 2 min, I received a call from Dori (sorry, not sure on spelling). She apologized for the delay and stated that she had mistakenly placed 4 checks in a stack of paper on her desk – thus not seeing them she assumed she mailed them out. She discovered her mistake and mailed them out Monday of this week. She again apologized for the delay. Since I was at fault with missing information, I cannot judge the actual payment time for this payment.
I am very impressed with Doc Pros, as a company and Dori, personally. They showed that they (1) respected me enough to call me right back and (2) accepted responsibility for the delay and apologized. They DID NOT tell me – our pay policy is net ___, as one company does in emails without even checking on payments. They didn’t blame it on not getting paid by someone else or wait several days to get back to me .... etc, etc, etc.
In this case, it was an honest mistake and she owned up to it. She mailed out as soon as she discovered the mistake and had no issue with contacting me right away when I inquired about it. I don’t know about anyone else, but when honest mistakes happen and the company is upfront, willing to take responsibility, and takes actions to correct it even before I contact them, when other issues arise I am more willing to work with them.
Again, Kudos to Dori of Doc Pros!

You must have worked for their lowball fee. They use to pay $XXX. They now offer $85.00 w/edocs. No thank you.

No, Socal ...
No, I don't work for low ball fees. They met my fees (could be why I haven't heard from them in a while). My fee for that job was $150 with e-docs.
I believe my services are worth what I charge and I do not discount myself like a blue light special.
