This is for the redistricting Commissioners. The deadline to apply was extended through 2/15. It's $300 for every day you're doing work on the commission. The bulk of the redistricting work will happen over a period of 8-9 months in 2011, after the Census.
There are some fairly strict requirements about voter registration, voting history, affiliation and such... but that's all the website.
I was told about this today by someone who said that being a Notary might be very beneficial in getting through the selection process.
It's a long process, and ultimately, they will narrow it down to just a handful of people...14 total... but I figured I'd let those here know about it just in case.
