Richmond Title Services requiring BGC now

They're out of Plano, TX, and are lowballers. Just got the email. Appears they're requiring a NNA BGC as they refer you to the NNA website to get questions answered.

Since you are effectively extending them credit (unless they are willing to pay in front), I’d ask then for theirs…and NOT from the NNA, from someone reputable. JMO

Just passing along the info.

I did 6 closings for them last year. When they have one in my area they'll call you about 4 times in a day trying to schedule it with you for a ridiculous fee. I "think" the only ones I booked for them last year were HELOC closings, although I'm not gonna go back and look it up, where they met my fee as I'm the only one I know of that does them here outside of title co's or lenders.

I don't really recall any problem in getting paid. Once it was booked with them seemed fine to me, it was just getting them to pay a reasonable fee at booking that was the difficulty, and multiple calls from different people. If they're now requiring a NNA BGC now I guess they'll quit calling me.

Re: Richmond Title Services

They used to be one of my "top of the tree" services ... but now just another lower branch @ $75 for edox. And, at $90 a pop for NNA's package that includes GBC, you'll be working for free with RTS on your first assignment ... if you're even hungry enough to even accept their low-ball fee in the first place. Re: Richmond Title Services

It may be because I first began working with Richmond Title (vrs. Flex) 4 years ago, but when they call me (which is less than they did when Richmond Title was calling) they automatically meet my fees. I might be on their "last resort" list, but when they do call they don't haggle with me on fees and the check comes.

Just stating my experience with them.

Re: Richmond Title Services

OOOPS...found a note I made on them. Looks like I told them to just take me off their list because I was tired of all the calls and cancellations at the last minute when they did meet my fee. Looks like that happened in June, 2009. At least they pay attention when you tell'em to quit calling! LOL

Looks like the xyz is busy marketing their products.

At least many of us know it's total b/s.
