TitleStream - The Next Chapter (7)

There has been a lot of chatter on this board in the past about Monte Sturgeon and his antics. For those interested, there is an interesting update on the Abstractor Watchdog site, which purports to reveal the depths of a scoundrel. Here is a link. Hope you enjoy it.

I already wrote my Title Stream invoices off.

Think I wrote those off the year before last. Don't figure to ever see a dime.

Wow, that's just disgusting. I'm curious how Sturgeon was

able to declare bankruptcy when he was clearly involved in fraudulent activities. Is he being criminally investigated for his actions? That wasn't really clear in the article. I remember when McLucas came on this board and was *shocked* that some people had not been paid and assured us that all was well. And the part about paying a worker to specifically look for vendors who had never worked for TS before and did not know of their reputation... oy! If he could afford to pay her $10K per month, he could have afforded to pay his vendors.

Re: TitleStream -> Evil

I wonder if Hugh from Austin, Texas got left holding a bag of receivables by TS. He continued to accept assignments from them no matter how slow they got. They sure didn't need to find a new notary who didn't know about them in Austin; they had one who didn't care about their horrendous slow pay issues and had faith in them.

A nice guy named David (Cox, I think) scheduled notaries and had to deal with my own unhappiness and calls...until I quit taking their work...and until David quit and went on to other things. I did quit working for them LONG before they cratered.

Don't you know if you worked for them it would take a LONG TIME to get over that feeling of being slimed? Tough on their employees who were honest.

Re: TitleStream -> Evil

Oh yeah, I had forgotten about David Cox! David hired me twice for TS in Dec 2005. They took so long to pay and it was such a hassle collecting that I refused future jobs from them. I was always unclear about what David's role and culpability was in the whole TS debacle.

Copper, David left before the fall.

My gut reaction is that David Cox was not part of the fraud...nor was Nacoma (?) or Nathan (?) [sounds like those names].
