I would LOVE to have an app for my blackberry where I could type in a SS's name and get a "red" or "yellow" or "green" light rating based off of their history here on NotRot. I'd pay handsomely for such a nifty tool.... It would be nice to have something I could use discreetly when I get a call from a SS and don't have my computer with me. Harry?  Pretty, pretty please? We know you guys here at Not Rot work miracles.... ;-)

I dunno. I rely on it an awful lot now--I mean, no payment is no payment, etc. I calculate risks based on ratings. For instance, a company with a really lousy NotRot rating, I say I'll accept the assignment only if they prepay by pay-pal, etc.

One person's trash is another person's treasure. I agree that in too many cases, it would be very subjective, plus it's a moving target. Things are constantly changing over time. Also, I kinda doubt Harry would want the liability. If he gets in the middle of any kind of rating system, I'd bet those ss that weren't well rated would be after him. I don't think he's going to want to touch this. HOWEVER... if someone came up with an easy app/tool that allowed someone to compile their own list and add their ratings, they might be able to sell quite a few of them...

You could set a short cut to the Signing Central list on your blackberry browser. You'll at least be able to see the star rating. Or you could have a copy of the list handy for just such a purpose, a pdf saved on you phone would be easy to obtain and update periodically.

that's a good idea Rick--I haven't really tried NotRot on my blackberry yet (I rarely use it for actual browsing except maps).
