3 copies of documents!!!

Now a company requests copies for BOTH borrower's and one copy signed and returned. But not additional fee. I don't think so.

How strange. Did they give any rationale for this stipulation? Seems to me that the B's 2nd copy would go directly from the table to their trash....and they probably wouldn't shred it first.

No rationale given, I never inquired why. I just quietly failed to comply.

Each signing party gets a copy.

It's a broad intrepetation of RESPA and that all signing parties receive the required disclosures, which seems to be about half the package these days. When I've received these requests I call the borrower and ask if they want two sets. They have always said no.

Re: I've had this request also

I did get an extra fee on top of the original for this service. The loan docs also had a form for the borrowers to sign stating that they did in fact receive two copies of the loan package to keep with them.

I got one w/ a set for title & escrow - 151 pgs! Add a 4th

set - 1 per BO? That IS ridiculous!
