Interesting signing..amazing person
BWR retired DOD employee who proof read contracts. Said she would have to r e a d the deed before signing. OMG I thought, a three hour signing. Five minutes later she signs and gives me a list of four misspelled words on the deed, "Selsed" (after borrower covenant on form 3005) was one of the words. She said she read at the rate of 800 WPM with 98% accuracy.
Unbelievable. Just thought I'd share.

OK, I've got one...
I signed with a lady who could write anything with her right or left hand, and she could write upside down or backwards with her right or left hand. I asked her how long it took her to learn that, & she said, no, she could always do that from the time she first started writing.

Like DaVinci
I know he could write forward and backward.
But I have NEVER heard of anyone writing upside down.
Don't you love the ppl we meet doing notary work? Some truly blow me away.

Re: Like DaVinci
My friends think my job is boring, just a bunch of paper work, but all of us could write a book about the stories we hear from the people we meet. By the way, my signer was not like DaVinci in any other way. She did not appear that bright & did not seem to have any other skills.

I was going to suggest that maybe your person was categorized as Savant, they are amazing. My son is like that. If you mention a movie or actor, actress he can tell you everything about every movie they were in or who was in the movie what it was about but he can't tell you when it was made. He's great and I love him with all my heart.

I am so glad that there are other people like that!!! HAHA! I am right-handed...BUT...like most righties, my left hand writing is horrible...HOWEVER...I can write, print and even paint BACKWARDS with my left hand, beautifully, without even looking. I can hold two paintbrushes in each hand, and paint a very symmetrical image at the same time. I can hold two pencils and write in complete sentences, very legibly, but BACKWARDS, with my left hand, as my right hand moves forward. Now, if only I can do that with my feet! I would join the circus!

That IS amazing, and I could never do that. Not sure what I can read a minute but it's not as much as it used to be. I read SO many cases, and I actually scan paragraphs at a time. I actually got prescription glasses a few years ago, and the glasses would only allow me to read about 2 or 3 lines at a time. I threw them in the dumpster and still use my Walgreen's cheapy reading glasses now, as I DO scan cases by paragraphs, and not line by line until I define the case to be one of which I need to read it line by line.
I'm right-handed, and can pretty much only write right-handed, and not all that legibly with that hand. LOL
I think it's really kewl that people can write with both hands at the same time (awesome), frontwards and backwards...I'm just lucky to write forward in my chicken scratch LOL, but I'm very lucky to be able to read legal opinions with a great amount of speed to move foward to find exactly what I'm looking for, or something that will help, or kill me, in an opinion. I just wish my eyes wouldn't keep getting worse. Gonna have to go and try to get some scrip glasses again, I guess. Worst part of getting older, for me.

I had a signing with an attorney who only CLAIMED to be a speed reader, said he couldn't sign anything he hadn't read. But wasn't even close to being in the same ballpark as your person. This guy also read the whole Deed of Trust. I thought I was going to be there forever. I tried every trick I knew to move it along but nothing worked. And, naturally, this was a Friday night when I had dinner plans with friends. It was less than three hours - but they ate without me... ;(
BTW, it's nice to hear something positive about a government employee for a change (or former employee).
