You are lucky that you are signing on Sunday - you will likely get docs late Friday or on Saturday, which gives you plenty of time to review them prior to the appointment.
If you are a new notary, just make sure you include all the Virginia required elements (such as notary commission #, etc).
Be sure the following docs are in the package:
HUD Note Truth in Lending Notice of Right to Cancel (each borrower must have two copies EACH in their copy package) Deed of Trust (plus any applicable riders)
Also, on the loan application the top of page 1 there is a signature line that is easily missed. Also look for initial lines on every page of the loan application (they may or may not be there).
If it's an FHA loan, the HUD/VA addendum may or may not have initial lines (also easily missed as they are on the LEFT side of the page) and page 2 of that doc has TWO signature lines on it.
Otherwise, just double check everything before you leave the appointment, just to make sure that no borrower signatures were missed. Then go over the package again several times at home before you ship on Monday morning. It will get easier the more you do.
Good luck!
