National Vendor Solutions
I've read signing central and I've noticed a comment about large packages (300+) pages from this company. From those who have worked for them, what was your experience with the size of the package? Are they extraordinarily large? TIA

not in my experience. Usually VA which larger is the nature of that beast, but not 300 pgs.. Usually about 140 pages IME.

Last one I attempted (borrower was not home) was 160 pages. x 2. I was ticked that the borrower was not home because NVS will not let you contact the borrower in advance. Never again.

Isn't it this company that only pays $25 in those instances, or am I confused (normal state of mind for me)...

Linda, they paid me 1/2 fee. The 1st one I did for them worked out fine. Not a hitch. This 2nd one was a bear. Huge pkg, borrower not home, for sale sign in the front yard. Never again for 1/2 fee. I lost doubly on this one because I turned down 2 other offers for this one. When I called in to tell them the borrower wasn't home, I argued my case to no avail. She knew I was ticked but wouldn't do anything about it.

I completed a signing for them in 11/2009, my first, and the package was 184 pages. The did, however, provide contact information and asked me to confirm with the borrower. Nice folks to deal with.

I've done several for them. They are fairly large VA streamline refi packages. You cannot contact the borrowers. That's kind of a PIA, because they do not pay a full fee if it's a no-sign. I had one of those.

Thanks for the info. all. I'm going to ask them about the size of the package and their no show policy.

The last time I did one for them, I called to get contact info and "permission" to contact BO to confirm appointment and was told those instructions to not contact BO were old and should be deleted. I've never had a problem getting a phone number to contact BO prior to appointment.
