see if they'll pay you in advance and tell them its cause of

their rep here on NotRot....can't hurt to ask.

Suz, don't know if you saw what I posted on the other

thread. I did one on 12/15 and 12/17 and was paid for both today 1/29. Its a little longer than I like, but they paid and in 1 check. I was skeptical too and didn't want to get in too deep, but it worked out. I will take more from them.

You would Linda? They've had their

registration revoked by the state of RI - here's the link to the copy of the certificate filed 12/15/2009 by the state - and there's no reinstatement on file:

http://ucc.state.ri.us/CORP_DRIVE1/2009/1215/000041655/0016/200955483880_1.pdf

Don't know about you, but I won't..

Sorry...if you search Nationwide Notary Signers

for all filings this comes up - Nationwide Notary Signers is a fictitious name filed by National Notary Signers LLC...

If I'm reading this right, which I believe I am, they're not authorized to transact business any longer.

I called and left a message of decline and also emailed them of my decline. I am very thankful for this website and the info provided from all of you.

I'm not surprised you got paid - I don't think they

were notorious nonpayers - slow yes, non payers? no, don't recall that - but I AM surprised they're still handing out assignments. Perhaps they're not aware of their corporate status?

any biz can get their corp status revoked if they don't file

their annual statement w/their state, but I'm not sure, if that means that they can't conduct business w/in that state. But don't quote me, as I'm obviously not from RI and do not know their state laws, but they are probably licensed to do business w/in their local/city.

I've started the collection for my check...such a waste of time....

Blah...link...and the revocation cert reads

"..hereby revokes the Certificate/Registration of the above named entity to transact business in this state"...

And I agree with you Cari...they may be able to

still do business - but if they're not in good standing I'm not so sure I'd want to risk working for them...

But that's MHO

I've worked with them & been paid in just over 30 days. Once I had to call with a reminder.
I don't know about the rest of the stuff on here. I had heard that they had a business name challenge from the NNA. I also understand that Bob Atanian is no longer involved.
