Need a super notary in Detroit, pls
If you know a super experienced and professional notary in Detroit, would you please PM me?
A wonderful client of mine is buying foreclosed houses in Detroit. He rents the houses to the people who lost them for a reasonable monthly amount.
Even better: the contracts are "lease with an option to buy" so the renter gets her/his home back in a few years.
I love this man. (Good thing is he already married. I really prefer living alone with my pug.)
He does not need notary work. He needs something else I know a business-savvy and experienced notary could handle in a heartbeat. Pay is good.
This fellow is buying everything with cash so there are no signings. He and I are handling the title/deed work here.
Plus Detroit has very odd demographics that makes a perfect situation for an usual type of notary work. (NOT presentment, protest, advocate, honor-dishonor stuff.) I'd like to tell a super notary who is a nice person about this strange opportunity. (It's an service for Canadians.)
If you know a five star notary who is a nice person and serves Detroit, I would love to get a PM from you with her/his contact information.
Thank you! LauraV

What do you mean that Detroit has very odd demographics?

Hi, Julie
Detroit is odd these days. So many people without jobs because the car plant closings so it's like a recession on steroids. But real estate is super cheap and people still need to live in homes.
I know one guy here who is buying foreclosed Section 8 homes that have been fixed up a bit to get the S-8 rating. He tries to rent to the ppl who lost the homes. He does "lease with an option to buy" and charges fair rent. So the renters have a good chance of owning the house again. He says he has around 8 more packages for me to notarize. I first worked with him last week. He's one of those guys who can't sit still so he got on the phone while I was finishing the notarizing. He called his Michigan real estate agent to tell him to keep looking.
I think this man is wonderful. And he is not the only Canadian doing it. Lots of US people paying fair rent for a nice place owe their good luck to kind and business savvy Canadians.
Good on them! LauraV

Alex and Renee'.
Both of them are competent and professional...nice? Super? Not sure. In my book they are, but obviously, if either of them fit the bill a cattle call would not have been extended.
