Notary Assurance in AZ what is happening????
I have worked for this signing company periodically and had no issues in regards to payment, but recently something has changed. The last time I did a signing for them was the first week of December and I went out of my way to get it done. When I accepted the closing it was suppose to be at 2:00 PM. I received documents and printed and then received a call from Keir that documents are incorrect and need to be revised and reprinted. It was agreed that I would be compensated for my printing fee. Keir asked if I would be available for later signing. I agreed and went to signing at 8:00. Keir stated that I would be paid in 30 days. As of today I have not received payment. I don't mind the wait, but I do mind the SS telling you something and not living up to their end of the deal. It creates unnecessary work, such as emailing and calling for payment. May I add with no or little response._________ I'm not liking the work involved in following up on payment. I will keep you posted on the outcome of this ordeal. Hopefully the check will be in mail today. I will use caution when and if I decide to accept another assignment from Notary Assurance. Just not good business in my eyes.

I am experiencing the same ordeal with another company. Was told I would be paid at a certain time, and here I sit wondering what is going on because I am getting no responses to emails. Makes me very very nervous. I, like alot of us, dont mind the wait if it is reasonable. What I DO mind is being told the payment will be such and such, then it doesnt happen, and then you cant communicate with them.

Re: Hear Hear!!
It is starting to look as if some of the good companies, that also have good ratings I might add, are starting to have problems, and passing those problems on to the notaries. Making me nervous tooooo.

Same here. I always ask what their pay schedule is and notate. When that date comes and no check, the email inquiries start. I'll do this for a week or two. If I'm ignored, then the kid gloves come off and demand letter goes out and the process commences.
Was burned by 2 ss a few years ago. Don't want to go there again.

Re: Notary Assurance in AZ, thank you for your call today
Barry, a/k/a Keir phoned today and will be sending me a scan of the check. I told him that all will be fine as soon as I receive agreed amount.

I have done several signings for Notary Assurance and have never had any issues with payment. My last signing was on 12-01-2009 and I was paid on 1-03-2010. Notary Assurance is a great company and I enjoy working with Mary and the rest of her staff.

Great staff, however, I am currently waiting on 2 checks from them and keep being told to wait. most of the time, checks come without issue. I did have a few times last year 45+ wait for at least 2 checks.
I also had a closing for them in June where the docs were wrong. Borrower was traveling for work so I met her 45min away from me. When I got there she told me not to even pull out the docs, her husband had already called to tell her the docs had the wrong name on them. I called ss, after they agreed to pay the extra fee for me to reschedule and reprint new docs, I preformed the closing later that day. Did have to wait on that check longer than normal and still haven't been paid the additional fee.

Great Company -- Stepped up and took responsibility
Spoke with Mary, apparently one of my recent checks was cut on the correct day, however, person responsible to mail out didn't do so until the following week. Mary said she just found out because others have called also.
Still haven't received the check yet, but of all the companies that are overdue this is the ONLY ONE that has stepped up and been honest enough to say the delay was their fault and take responsibility for it. For this and their track record I give them credit and will always accept work from them.
At this point, and based on their past record, I have no doubt payment will arrive within a few days. GREAT COMPANY! Wish more were like them!

I just did one and was paid in 30 days. I have never had a problem getting paid. They have always paid me within 30 days and the most recent one paid just 2 weeks ago, right at 30 days after the signing.

Never had a problem with them, EVER.
Great company to work with, IMO. Never had a payment issue with them and never haggled over my fee. I wish they are all the way they have been with me thus far.

Quick question
I check their agreement - do you people really pay $10.95/year to be in their database?

Re: Quick question...and one more
And this?
"We pay our notaries $75.00 per signing and $25 per refusal unless otherwise specified and arranged at the time of accepting the order. The notary fee is $100.00 for 2 loans at the same appointment time"

Re: Quick question...and one more
I work for them on occasion, they must have found me on NR. I've never paid a fee to be in their database, or even been approached about it, and I've always just quoted them my regular fees which they've paid without trying to talk me down.
I think it's a little early to be posting something complaining about not being paid from a December signing. I'd at least wait until a few days after the 15th of the month before I started to wonder, since so many companies use that as a regular pay date.

Received check from Notary Assurance on 1/19 Just a tad late
Please let me clarify, I don't mind waiting additional days for payment. All that the scheduler needs to do is give me a range when I can expect pay, so I can plan accordingly. The bottom line is I dislike being told one thing prior to accepting an assignment, then wasting time following up on payment. All is good, it's another happy ending and I have check in hand. Notary Assurance, thank you for following up on pay as promised.
