Printer Drivers

I recall several years ago when many of us were having some problems with HP printers, we were advised (probably by PAW) to go back to PCL5 rather than PCL6. I'm getting my new Windows 7 computer set up and, in looking at drivers for my faithful Laserjet 1300, HP has Windows 7 drivers for both PCL5 and PCL6 as well as an Universal Print Driver. Advice anyone?

If you have Win7 and a HP LJ 1300, download BOTH PCL5e and PCL6. They also should have a PostScript driver. (I haven't looked because I'm still using XP and have no immediate plans to upgrade to Win7.) It would be beneficial to also download and install the newer UPD (Univ. Prnt. Dvr.).
