What do you do..

..... with the sheets of paper (your loan docs) you have left when you have a no sign or redraw? If you are lucky and get a print fee good, what about all the paper. In my past working life, we had a box by the printer we would put the paper in (no we didn’t shred it) and re-use it for misc print jobs. I do understand there is a lot of propriety information on some of the docs but minus that; is what I’m talking about.
I turn the paper over and use the blank side to print out for example, directions, maps, emails, etc. It really saves a lot. What do you do? Keep it clean please!

I shred anything with bo's info. Instructions sheets (w-2's for ex.) about 12 pages of mtg, I use as note pads or flip over and print out puzzles or use as scrap. I only reuse in my home, then all is either shredded or into the fire it goes.

It is that slogan that prompts me, which is totally ingrained by my mother: Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle

The perfect answer!

I took the Notary2Pro.com Course and they suggested that we take the unsigned documents and put them into a bucket of water with a little bleach. In a few days the paperwork turns to mush and is easily thrown away.

This takes no time unlike the hours it can take to shred documents.

The documents contain a lot of confidential information and should never be used or thrown away in the trash!

I disagree. I do shred ALL the important stuff immediately

but, I do re-use what I can for printing confirmations, directions, my hubby's fax stuff. There is a LOT of sheets that have NO personal info at all on them, not names, addresses or anything else important. There are also some blank sheets once in a while. I also cut up into note size pieces for scratch paper. I am very careful what I save.

Grandkids (who can't read anyway) use backside to color on...then get a big kick out of putting it in the shredder (under supervision, of course)--works for me.

I send them back to the hiring entity using the account they gave me to send the docs back. This way they can shred them and be assured they have been dealy with appropriately. You can be talking about up to 500 pages which can take a considerable amount of time at 5 pages at a time on my shredder.

I shred if they hiring entity doesn't want them back. Our county trash is incinerated on top of that (to generate electricity). I met a businessman that shreds and uses it for bedding for his alpaca's.

My husband likes to shred documents while I am printing docs (sometimes our only chance to visit), and we bag the shredded paper in used bags. We either use the filled bags for packing material, or take it to someone who uses it for animal bedding.

I use Ship 'n Shred (https://www.shipnshred.com/home/index.php). Not only will they shred paper, but empty pill containers, credit cards, even disks, CDs and DVDs. Just keep a large box to dump everything into and pack it up, ship it and they shred it. Even provide a certificate showing it was shredded, when and how.

Burn it

We have a wood furnace, we keep a box where all the docs that are from cancelled jobs, plus
any of our own stuff and we burn it. Save it up all yr. and when fire season starts it's a Great fire starter.
doesn't take long to use it all up.

I take to local company shredding company that charges 5.00 for large box (case of paper size). They shred and recycle and it beats having to shred myself. Most shredding co's will do for small fee.
