Also, it will COST YOU $277.95 to become a Registrar. Why? Here's what they said:

Thank you for contacting BIOWRAP Support with your question regarding the registration fee. The registration fee is to cover the cost of the fingerprint scanner(BioScanner), background screening, identity verification/enrollment session, software and training. Similar to a notary to paying for the initial set up. After the registration fee there are no more costs to the Registrar.

Yep..I've heard this before...and if memory serves me

it was a bit more expensive previously...That's quite an investment for a $30 per assignment return.

And Jon Etling (who gave the testimonial in the email)

is a FL notary with a listed address that is the same as the address shown for BIOWRAP in Lake Mary, FL.

it would take 10 jobs just to recoup the initial investment n/m

More than that, Teresa....the $30 isn't net

deduct your expenses from that first...would probably take a whole lot more than 10 to recoup that.

Understood, Linda

Of course my calculation did not take into account any incidental expenses for printing and travel, but I don't think it likely that 10 assignments would be forthcoming anyway.

It seems like a losing proposition for the "ID Verification Agent" and a winning one for the company, if they can get enough gullible people to sign up and purchase their system.

$30? I didn't see anything that indicated

a flat $30 fee.
Can someone with better eyes point me to that fee?

It was right in the e-mail...I believe cited in the

testimonial...the signup was $30 and if a sale was made there was an additional $25 paid -

I didn't understand that part - what sale?

Re: It was right in the e-mail...I believe cited in the

Not a sale, per se, but a referral that resulted in a sale. The email says:

"For each enrollment I receive $30 and if I generate the sales through their referral program I receive an additional $25. That's $55 for 3 to 5 minutes of work!"

The above quote is attributed to Jon Etling - Orlando, FL (who apparently is a principal or major player in this organization).

:) I didn't get the email and I didn't go as far as

testimonials.
Curious!

They conveniently put the testimonial right on the face page

of the e-mail...that's the only way I know about it...

and we all know the 3 to 5 minutes is not a true

representation of the time spent on an assignment since it doesn't include any prep or travel time. I would guess 30 to 40 minutes would be a more accurate time per assignment.
