American Title, Omaha NE...
Cheap - cheap - cheap. Offered $50.00 for o/n docs. I can't imagine this TC charges less than $200.00 as a closing fee yet they want to keep $150.00 for making one phone call. I'd rather flip pancakes at IHOP...at least I wouldn't starve and I wouldn't be helping them denigrate the Notary profession.

Down from the whoppong $65 they used to offer
back in the good ole refi-days. They never accepted my fees, and I never accepted theirs. I can't believe they've reduced it another $15. Key-raze-ee.

Today I got offered $70 for an edox closing from a national TC that charges $400 for their settlement/closing fee. I am so disgusted with all the lowball offers I have been getting.

I thought those were extinct!
Oh DUH? I have not had one of those in years. Well all I can say is at least you had the docs on time for the signing if you do it. I agree a bit low. But if I recall correctly $50 to $75 use to be the range for o/n docs no?

Re: I thought those were extinct!
I had a call today from a company offering XXX dollars - which was $25.00 less than my fee. When asked if i would accept a lower fee, I asked, will you raise your fee? Guess what. They wouldn't and I wouldn't.
