Brother printer problem
My drum light came on this am during print job. Inserted new drum, light will not go off, had to go to other printer just to get this done.
Quick search is not letting me find instructions for how to reset the drum (or fool the machine) and now have to go. I know it has been posted here - can/will someone assist me please? Thank you.

If I remember correctly, open the drum door and leave it open while you press the go button till all the LEDs light up and I think that should do the trick, that should reset your page count to another 20K pages.

First, let me say how grateful I am for this forum--it is a great source of information and some laughs too. A BIG thank you to all who contribute!! It sounds like this tidbit offered by Calnotary can save a ton on printing. I have a question--does anyone have any thoughts on how to prevent paper from curling as it is printing??? TIA

correlation here.

I have found that Hammermill brand paper curls less than Staples house brand.

I have been experimenting with an electric de-humidifier
and it works great. I leave my boxes of paper in a closet with the de-humidifier. Ever since I've been doing this, the paper doesn't curl at all and I'm always amazed at how much water collects in the bucket every few days! I think the paper absorbs the moisture around it so if its stored in a damp basement, it will curl a lot.

Re: I have been experimenting with an electric de-humidifier
Ha! - I was just guessing. Nice to hear my theory had substance after all.
Like many, I have several different kinds of paper as whoever has the best sale gets my money. I thought this as I have a Georgia Pacific paper in plastic packaging that never curls, yet the others in paper wrappers do curl to varying degrees. My biggest curling problems appear during Spring and Fall when the a.c. is used less, therefore, more humidity in air.
Nice solution, Cad, thanks for sharing.

There is also a product called "Damp Rid" that will help get rid of some of the humidity.

yes Va, that also works well if you dont have to de-humid...
dify a large area. The electric ones have more de-humidifying power which is why I bought one, I keep almost 20-30 boxes of legal and letter paper in my storage closet so I need a beefy machine to keep my reams nice n dry!
