HP 2055dn
I have had the printer for 6 months.
When I first got the unit it operated at a very fast rate, printing pages very quickly. In the past few days, I have noticed a slow down in speed and cannot diagnosis or solve the problem. I have searched on NotaryRotary for anyone that may have had a similar problem and cannot find my answer.
I have check the physical printer set-up and also the properties set-up via the control panel.
I have printed out a self test/configuration of the printer. It appears to be configured properly, however under the memory "headline" it states that total memory is 128 MBytes and Available Memory is 53 MBytes. This doesn't compute for me.
When I go to the printer via the control panel and using the properties tab from the drop down menu and then go to Device Settings and examine the Printer Memory option, it does not give me a 128K option. My only options are 32K, 64K, 96K, 160K and 288K.
I am at a loss as to the problem and could use some help.
Thanks for any feedback.

If the printer is new it is still under warranty and you can call tech support (lol) if you get someone who you can understand. The catch here is that now HP has a new way of not giving you support in that they ask you to print out a test page and they see if you are using a genuine HP cartridge in the machine. If you are not, they can deny support. My answer to that is always to keep the original HP cartridge on hand and put it in before calling them. Prior to call them, you also might want to try to unplug thee machine and disconnect the network or USB cable a few minutes. See if that works. Yous also can buy additional memory on line at www.crucial.com. There are other dealers tha advertise on e-bay for additional memory but be careful in that I did not have a good experience with them in terms of them sending defective cards.
